Our People

We're seeking dynamic people who want to make a difference in the world, to join the Avlis Production Team in promoting and teaching Jose Silva's UltraMind ESP System. We need instructors, promoters, and business managers.

The team is led by the two owners of Avlis Publishing: A. Victor Kovens and Katherine L. Sandusky. Also on the headquarters staff are Jose Silva Jr., Ed Bernd Jr., William R. Sturdevant, Antony Cockle, Dennis Higgins, and Jose Luis Romero.

Together, this team has well over 100 years experience working with Jose Silva and his ESP system. All of them authored chapters in Jose Silva's UltraMind ESP System book.

Katherine Sandusky, President of Avlis Publishing LLC and Avlis Productions Inc.

Katherine Sandusky, owner and manager of Avlis Productions, came to work for Jose Silva at his Laredo headquarters in 1989 soon after graduating from high school, and she's been involved with the business ever since. A. Victor Kovens, co-owner of Avlis Publishing, is most proud of the way Jose Silva's mind training system helped homeless people in his hometown of Baltimore, Maryland, to turn their lives around. Jose Silva Jr. documented much of his father's pioneering research, and has been his biggest supporter ever since they took the work public more than 40 years ago.

Joe has been the one constant factor in the business since the beginning, and was chosen by his father to look after his estate and the new business that features the culmination of more than half a century of research and experience: the UltraMind ESP System. More about Jose Silva Jr.

Ed Bernd Jr., in charge of New Product Development, started teaching Jose Silva's mind training system in 1977, and joined the headquarters staff in 1981. He has participated in research projects, and was the coauthor of Jose Silva's last four books. He also coauthored a new Silva book with Jose Silva Jr.: Jose Silva's Everyday ESP. Ed Bernd Jr., director of product development for Avlis Publishing, willl help you to develop intuition, learn remote viewing, find your purpose in life, be your own psychic, learn psychometry, distant healing, clairvoyance, and more.

William Sturdevant, Director of Instructor Support, began teaching Jose Silva's system in 1984, and has worked with Ed and Victor on numerous projects. Bill was the first instructor to be certified to teach all of Jose Silva's courses. With his strong desire to help people, Bill has taken a special interest in Jose Silva's Holistic Faith Healing System. Jose Luis "Pepe" Romero, Director of Instructor Training, came to work for Jose Silva shortly after graduating from college in 1972 and has been involved in all aspects of the business ever since. Pepe has been training UltraMind Instructors since the very first Instructor Training Session in 1998, and has trained and certified more UltraMind Instructors than anyone else. Dennis Higgins, our Sales Consultant and Director of Sales Training, took his first Silva course in 1971, followed by a sales training course in 1973, and he's been setting sales records ever since.

A long time sales consultant to the Silva organization, he has authored sales manuals, worked closely with Jose Silva on his Sales Power book, and consulted with many instructors. More about Dennis Higgins
